At Farm Yarn UK our small flock of Romney's share our organic dairy farm with Montbeliarde cows, several beehives, hens, dogs & family. Our wool has exceptional qualities which we embrace in the development of our unique Yam Knitwear accessories and Farm Yarn UK woven produce. We forage along the banks of the river Eden for much of our natural dyes, but also use madder, cochineal, indigo & woad from sustainable sources.

Gneiss Rugs

Gneiss rugs are unique, handmade, and quality crafted. Each rug is handwoven on a peg loom, which is one of the oldest forms of weaving, from the very best quality wool selvedge. As selvedge is a by product of the weaving industry, it makes all our rugs eco-friendly. Due to the material the rugs are made from each rug is extremely hard wearing as well as being soft underfoot.
