Art-Felt Designs by Nanny Lynn

Art-Felt Designs by Nanny Lynn is the business name of Lynn Massey, a Fibre Artist and Textile Designer based in Bolton. Lynn specialises in hand made felt as well as hand dyed and spun yarns, using them in her felt-making, knitting and weaving in the Saori-Style. Her work is inspired by her life experiences, love of nature and spiritual beliefs. Over the years, Lynn has developed her skills to create scarves, shawls, bowls and accessories. She works from the raw fleece to the finished article, working through all processes of preparation in her kitchen and work room. She often has small bags of washed fleece for sale as well as dyed and carded batts for craftspeople to purchase. Due to the idiosyncrasies of the mediums, exact repetition of her work is never an option, hence a piece of Nanny Lynn’s wearable art is unique!

This  showcases the yarn so people can see what is achievable.  We are able to show the provenance & quality  as we carefully control the process from the field to finish. The yarn is spun at a UK mill specialising in suri and in a worsted process. It's superb for weaving, crochet and lightweight knitting (hand or machine). Its very unusual to find 100% UK grown and produced Suri alpaca yarn with most being blended with other fibres. We've made the conscious decision to keep it pure to showcase it's uniqueness. We only spin our finest low micron fibre to ensure a high comfort factor.
